Résumé
Dans l'entourage de Pollyanna, les langues se délient. N'y aurait-il pas eu autrefois une belle histoire d'amour entre monsieur Pendelton et la tante Polly ? Pour en avoir le cœur net, Pollyanna se rend au domicile de son ami et, après bien des hésitations, celui-ci révèle son terrible secret.
