Résumé
Colin Sweeney, acquitté après avoir été accusé du meurtre de sa femme, repasse devant la justice au civil. Mais Alicia, qui doit le défendre, est convaincue de sa culpabilité. Un jeu malsain s'engage entre l'avocate et son client. Cette situation aggrave l'anxiété d'Alicia, alors que s'ouvre le procès en appel de Peter, dont l'issue décidera s'il peut rentrer chez eux sous le régime de la liberté surveillée.
